Inspired by the brand collection, creative director Alexandre Michaelli created modern fashion design pieces, reinterpreted traditional and brand classic elements, and integrated the unique silhouette of the 1970s into the brand new handbag series.
Attache is a French expression of "hook and buckle", which not only symbolizes the concept of geometric modeling and self sealing, but also is a metal G-shaped buckle connecting the two corners of the handbag. It can change the shape of the handbag and realize various carrying methods such as half moon shaped carrying, shoulder carrying or practical messenger bag.
"When I was immersed in the collection design, I caught a glimpse of this handbag by chance and was deeply fascinated... Then I reinterpreted it and included it in the March of Gucci Love The desire of the series to show its style at the Los Angeles fashion show. As a typical style of the 1970s, its silhouette presents a very modern attitude. Therefore, I am sure to express the concept of dual functions with eclectic symbolic elements. Its G-shaped buckle details and mechanical origin skillfully combine the typical bourgeois spirit and the functionality of the practical world of such pieces, "said Alexandre Michaeli.
Max Siedentopf, the art director and photographer, shot Gucci Attach's advertising image blockbuster with the metropolis as the background, emphasizing the same symbolic elements that constitute the meaning of this handbag, namely, the integration of design elements and views, and clarifying how to create the charming characteristics of combining appearance with practical culture. Two elements demonstrate the pursuit of beauty.
